GreenWood, Inc. Rolls Out the Green Carpet with Customer Appreciation Golf Tournament

GreenWood, Inc. recently held the inaugural “GreenWood Invitational” golf tournament at The Cliffs Keowee Vineyards course – ranked “7th Best Private Course in the Nation” by Golf Digest.  More than 90 participants from companies throughout the Southeast and as far away as Japan attended.     

“This was our way to express the deep appreciation we have for our customers,” says John Wood, President and Chief Executive Officer of GreenWood.  “Being a customer-centered company means we are dedicated to total customer trust and satisfaction in the quality of work we deliver and the success we share together.  We have relationships with companies that date back many years and we value those beyond measure.  The GreenWood Invitational provided the perfect venue for us to demonstrate what our customers mean to our business and the great respect we have for each of them.” 

Golfers competed throughout the day for hole-in-one prizes on two of the challenging and picturesque par 3 holes including a chance to win a brand new Mini Cooper which was the coveted prize of the day.  Several teams and individuals were recognized at the awards ceremony for low team score, runner-up, longest drives and closest to the pin winners.  The Keowee Vineyards clubhouse served as the focal point for a lunch buffet and then hors d’oeuvres at the close of the tournament. 

“The success of this tournament and customer response was overwhelmingly positive,” says Wood.  “We’re already discussing plans for our next event – whether it’s another golf tournament or something just as exciting.  Whatever we choose, we’ll certainly make it an event our customers will enjoy.”
